Guava Chutney - Amrood Chutney - Recipe by Annuradha Toshniwal - Vegetarian [HD] <br />Preparation Time - 10-15 mins <br />Serves 4-6 people <br />INGREDIENTS- <br />4 guavas cut bite sized (seeds removed) <br />2-3 tablespoons oil <br />1 teaspoon onion seeds <br />1 teaspoon mustard seeds (rai) <br />1 teaspoon cumin seeds (jeera) <br />1 teaspoon anise (saunf) <br />1/4 teaspoon fenugreek seeds (methi seeds) <br />2-3 green chillies slit <br />curry leaves <br />red chilli powder <br />red pepper <br />sugar <br />salt <br />1/2 cup jaggery <br />asafoetida powder <br /><br />METHOD- <br />- Add 2-3 tablespoons of oil into a hot round bottom pan. Once the oil is hot, add 1/4 tsp. of asafoetida powder. Add red chillies, green chillies and curry leaves. Once they splutter, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, onion seeds, anise and fenugreek seeds. <br />- Once they stop spluttering, add guavas to the pan. Keep stirring well. <br />- Add a little bit of water and wait for the guavas to soften. <br />- Once the guavas become soft, add red chilli powder. Add more water. Add salt as per taste. <br />- Add jaggery (a little more than 1/4 cup) once the guavas are cooked well. Add 2-3 teaspoons of sugar once the jaggery melts.
